The colour pink
Pink has always been a spring colour, so really it's very fitting for this time of year; however, as I'm writing this it is currently snowing outside. Nevertheless, the weather is supposed to be turning, and it's time to start transitioning your wardrobe from winter to spring, and one of the easiest ways to do thing is using colour. In the winter, looks can be very monochrome: blue, grey, black, ... sound familiar? Spring is far more colourful, more playful and vibrant, with lambs and blossoms, (I literally cannot wait for spring!) but, in the end, it is still February so warmth is still important.
Pink is a colour with many shades, and to be honest I'm not that keen on most of them, but dusky pink is the perfect colour to move from dullness to a pop of colour. Its muted, but not too much, and flattering on every skin tone.
Makeup
A quick and easy way to ease yourself in the colour pink is through makeup, and it looks even better when matched with an outfit. You can see the pink isn't neon, it's not baby pink, its a deep and subtle pink, which really ties into the mauve/ pink shade on the lips. I went heavy on the bronzer to balance out all of the rosiness on the face, and to provide a lot of structure.

Outfit
The combination of spring colours (pink, white) and winter textures (cord, faux fur) works very well in the transition season, so combining them has to work! I paired the pinafore with a jumper, which is thankfully fleece-lined, and some black sock boots to add some height. Tonal dressing has never been easier.
